This time of the year...

Those of us in the northern hemisphere are just eight days away from the winter solstice. During this time of year people from traditions around the planet have long rejoiced in the return of the sun, and with it new life. India’s Diwali and Thailand’s Loy Krathong both are ancient festivals of light, brightening the heart of winter. December 25 (solstice under the Julian Calendar) was such a high holiday in Roman times that Christians chose it to honor the birth of Jesus, drawing on older rituals and traditions to express their sense of gratitude and wonder. More...

There are many holy festivities all round the world in December. Click here to explore! Wishing our fellow travelers joy and peace!

For some a season of snow, while for others, a season in the sun!

"The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of a world and wake up in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found?" ~J. B. Priestley

The Gaia Minute

The Gaia Minute originated in One Light Many Windows.

"What we’re asking here is pray, just pray.
Pray… Pray… Pray…
Gaia needs your prayers.
Just pray with total surrender,
in complete faith…
and that prayer collectively done –
at least 1,000 or 1,500 people,
done at the same time,
will generate the positive healing energy for all of us.
Not asking for anyone special,
not even for the betterment of general life.
Nothing…
Just surrender and praying.
Om Namo Narayanam"

Swami Shraddhanananda
